‘Continuum’ combines an ammonite fossil from the Cretaceous Period (145 to 66 million years ago) with a large clock spring. Together time unravels within the sculpture as the man-made metal spiral seamlessly continues into the inner spiral of the ammonite which precedes all traces of humanity by many million years.
