The momentary darkness of a solar eclipse obscures vision whilst also revealing a lot about our place within the solar system and wider universe. The dissection of a single astronomical telescope observes the process of looking with each slice shifting incrementally along its length. The resulting orbit slowly moves clockwise from the eye-piece down its length to the annular eclipse of the double lens cap.
