In search for the 'four corners of the earth' four points were located, as close to the equator as possible, with coordinates of equal latitude and separated by exactly 90° in longitude. Located in Mozambique, Central Brazil, Western Australia and French Polynesia, each site was visited by a local collaborator following precise GPS co-ordinates. At each location a small right-angled marker made of local wood was installed along an east-west axis to form each corner of a large collaborative installation. |
